Multi-analytical approach for the study of an ancient Egyptian wooden statuette from the collection of Museo Egizio of Torino

In the field of Cultural Heritage, interdisciplinary and multi-technique approach to study ancient artifacts is widely used, providing more reliable complementary results. To these great value objects, non-invasive always preferred, although micro-invasive techniques may be necessary answer specific questions. this work, a based on both in two-step was applied as powerful tool characterize materials their layering, well get deeper understanding artistic conservation history. The object under an Egyptian wooden statuette, belonging collections Museo Egizio Torino. Analyses were performed at Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale” (CCR), starting from multispectral X-ray imaging whole order obtain information about technique assembly some aspects constituents materials, subsequently, XRF analysis FT-IR, SEM-EDX optical microscopy micro-samples.
